Question: What is recommended oil change interval for a tdi?

Service circular says 10,000 and dealer says 5,000

I own a 2002 Jetta TDI. Owner's manual, page 6, states 1st Iol change is at 5,000 miles, 2nd at 10,000 miles. All other changes are at 10,000 mile there after.

I have a 2002 Jetta TDI. Oil changes, per pag 6 of the Owner's manual are as followed. 1st change at 5,000 miles. 2nd change is at 10,000 miles. 3rd change at 20,000 miles. All others are 10,000 miles there after.
